What is a pic freeze ?
(also known as carrier choice protection)
A pic freeze is when a customer
calls their local telephone company and requests that their phone
lines not be switched unless its with their authorization (to avoid
slamming). If your phone lines are pic frozen, you will have to
call your local telephone company and ask them to lift the pic freeze
before you can signup for our long distance service.
Is there a customer service number for my long distance service ?
Yes, the number can be found
on your monthly statement. During the first month please contact
us via email at Customer Service.
Please include your billing phone number in any correspondence.
Can I get calling cards ?
Yes, after your phone
service has been switched just call the customer service number
found on your monthly statement, current domestic calling card rates are
just 14.9¢ per minute. (calls made from a payphone are subject to a 35¢ surcharge)
Who is the underlying
carrier for V.I.P. Communication Inc ?
V.I.P. uses various carriers.
Who will handle my customer service, and will that customer service
be as good as if I went direct with that carrier ?
Our volume discount program requires that our carriers deliver the same high quality service
to our customers that they would do if you were to go direct with that carrier.
How come your rates are so low, with no hidden charges ?
Our rates are so low because
of the volume of business we do with our carriers and we pass those volume
rates on to you. Also, we run a very tight ship to keep our over
head costs down, therefore we don't have to charge service charges,
restricted calling patterns, minimums etc. to cover our operating
costs.
Am I locked into a term agreement to get these rates ?
We feel good enough about
our product that if for any reason you're not completely satisfied,
you are free to switch carriers anytime.
Is the intra-state rate the same as my inter-state rate ?
No, the intra-state rate is
always different with long distance carriers, it varies with state
to state.
How long does it take to get switched over to V.I.P. Communication Inc ?
Providing we have all the correct information approx. 5 to 10 working days.
Can I get T1 service ?
Yes, our T1 rates are the best in the business 0.0098 cpm
billed in 6 second increments. T1 accounts are handled
